Jerusalem-based life science or bio-tech companies or those who are relocating to the city are entitled to grants for their employees of up to 4 million NIS.
Who is eligible?
Life science and bio-tech companies registered in Israel, employing up to 60 people and based in or relocating to Jerusalem.
What is the benefit?
In accordance with the grant’s terms, for each eligible employee, the company may receive a grant of 100,000NIS if the employee lives in Jerusalem, or 80,000NIS if the employee lives outside of Jerusalem.
The grant is available for up to a maximum of 40 employees, with a maximum total grant of up to 4 million NIS.
Companies may receive an additional grant of 50,000NIS for employees who are students.
Important note
There is not a specific date by which to apply, as applications for the grant may be made on a rolling basis at any time during the year.
The grant is awarded over an eighteen-month period. Grantees will be paid 50% upon receiving authorization, 25%, six months later, and the remaining 25% at the end of the period.
The grant is not paid as a loan and does not cause dilution in any way.
