Jerusalem-based life science or bio-tech companies or those who are relocating to the city are entitled to grants for their employees of up to 4 million ₪.
Who is eligible?
- Life science and biotech companies
- Registered in Israel
- Employing up to 80 people
- Based in or relocating to Jerusalem.
What is the benefit?
In accordance with the grant’s terms, for each eligible employee the company may receive a grant of 100,000 ₪ if the employee lives in Jerusalem, or 80,000₪ if the employee lives outside of Jerusalem.
The grant is available for up to a maximum of 40 employees, with a maximum total grant of up to 4 million₪.
Companies may receive an additional grant of 50,000₪ for employees who are students.
Important note
There is not a specific date by which to apply, as applications for the grant may be made on a rolling basis at any time during the year.
The grant is awarded over an eighteen-month period. Grantees will be paid 50% upon receiving authorization, 25% six months later, and the remaining 25% at the end of the period.
The grant is not paid as a loan and does not cause dilution in any way.
